According to information provided by the press service of the State National Security Committee, during his working trip, Tashiev inspected the current state of the border and assessed the quality of the barbed wire fencing installation.
During the visit, he instructed responsible officials to further strengthen the border infrastructure, improve security, and accelerate the pace of construction work. It was also important to pay attention to the strict adherence to border regulations and the implementation of additional preventive measures.
In addition, Tashiev visited military unit No. 2022, where servicemen who actively participated in strengthening the state border were awarded monetary bonuses and their service merits were acknowledged.
Currently, 80% of the section of the state border in the Batken region, which borders Tajikistan, is already fenced with barbed wire. Work to close the remaining 20% will continue according to the established schedule, with completion planned for 2026.
