According to him, the president's directive to complete the demarcation and delimitation of the border has been fulfilled in five years. “We have a saying: ‘Bile-bile kösöm bolosun, süylöy-süylöy chechen bolosun’ [‘Knowing — you will become wise, speaking — you will become eloquent’]. To be honest, at first, I didn’t quite imagine how we would manage to resolve this issue. When the president appointed me as the head of the state commission on the border, I told him: ‘Maybe it’s better to let someone else handle this.’ But the president replied: ‘No, if not you, no one will manage it’ — and insisted.
Later, when difficulties arose, I went back to the president and said: ‘Dear president, I ask to be relieved of this work; I cannot be the chairman of the state commission [head of the intergovernmental delegation for the delimitation and demarcation of the state border].’ But he said: ‘No, you must see this through to the end. Yes, it is difficult, but you must endure.’ Thus, step by step, we reached the completion of this work.
Now, I can say that I have become a true specialist on the border — I have gone through everything, seen everything. The directive that the president gave in the fall of 2020 has been fully implemented in five years. Now the border is completely secure. With God's help, we will live in peace and harmony with our neighbors,” Tashiev said.
He also noted that the families of those who died and were injured during border clashes receive state support. Housing has been allocated to the families of the deceased — no family has been left without state support.
Tashiev reported that the salaries of border guards have been increased, and billions have been allocated for strengthening the army and acquiring weapons.
