A ceremonial event took place in the Osh region, where keys to new service apartments were handed over to the servicemen of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by the press service of the agency.

General-Colonel Kamchybek Tashiev, who holds the position of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chairman of the State Committee for National Security, as well as Major General Abdikarim Alimbaev, the First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for National Security and Director of the Border Service, participated in the ceremony. Representatives of local authorities and law enforcement agencies were also present at the event.

The new apartments were built on the territory of the "Karamyk" border post in the high-altitude Chon-Alai region. The complex includes 18 one-bedroom and 2 two-bedroom apartments, which are fully equipped for the living of servicemen and their families.

The keys to the happy new residents were personally handed over by Kamchybek Tashiev. He emphasized the importance of creating decent conditions for those who protect the state borders.

“The Border Service plays a key role in ensuring security and maintaining the territorial integrity of the country, especially in hard-to-reach high-altitude areas. The state must take care of the defenders of the borders. We will continue to pay attention to the social conditions for servicemen, as their confidence and well-being directly affect the reliability of border protection,” Tashiev noted.

The new residential complex includes children's playgrounds and sports grounds, a boiler house with a coal storage, a transformer substation, as well as water storage tanks and a sewage system. In addition, the territory has been improved, landscaped, and internal roads and parking areas have been arranged.

One of the apartments was handed over to a police officer who works at the post station in the village of Karamyk, which contributes to improving inter-agency cooperation in the field of border security and maintaining law and order in the region.

The construction work was financed from the republican budget and was completed on schedule within a year and a half.

The project aims to improve the living conditions of border guards, enhance social support for servicemen, and strengthen infrastructure in remote areas of the country.
