On November 11, a solemn ceremony was held in the Osh region to hand over the keys to new service apartments for border guards, as reported by the press service of the State National Security Committee Border Service.

High-ranking guests attended the event, including the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and the head of the State National Security Committee, Kamchybek Tashiev, as well as the First Deputy Chairman of the State National Security Committee and the Director of the Border Service, Abdikarim Alimbayev, along with representatives of local authorities and law enforcement agencies.

The service apartments are located in a new residential complex built on the territory of the remote border outpost "Karamyk," which is situated in a high mountainous area and is under the jurisdiction of the Border Service of the Osh region.

The complex includes 18 one-bedroom and 2 two-bedroom apartments intended for military personnel and their families.

The keys to the new apartments were handed over by Kamchybek Tashiev, who emphasized the importance of the state's constant attention to the needs of border guards.

He noted: "The Border Service plays a key role in ensuring the security and integrity of our country, especially in such hard-to-reach high mountainous areas. The state must create comfortable conditions for those who guard our borders every day. We will continue to pay attention to the social aspects of military personnel's lives, as their confidence and well-being directly affect the reliability of state border protection."

The complex also features children's playgrounds and sports areas, a boiler house with a coal storage facility, and a transformer substation.

Water storage tanks have been installed, including reserves for fire-fighting needs and a sewage system.

The residential complex is well-maintained and landscaped, with internal roads and parking areas arranged.

Additionally, as part of cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, one of the apartments was transferred to a police officer from the village of Karamyk in the Chon-Alai district.

As the Border Service added, the construction of this facility was financed from the republican budget and was completed on schedule — in one and a half years.
