The Volleyball Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic announced that this achievement was made possible due to the team's high ranking. Over the past two years, Kyrgyz volleyball players have twice become winners of the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) tournament, which has allowed them to strengthen their positions on the international stage.
Currently, the team ranks 62nd in the world ranking and 10th among Asian teams.
The Asian Nations Cup will feature the 12 strongest teams on the continent: seven best from the previous tournament and five selected based on their ranking.
The 2026 Asian Nations Cup is scheduled to take place from June 6 to 14 in the Philippines. In the first stage, teams will be divided into two groups, and the top two teams from each group will advance to the "Final Four." The remaining teams will compete for places from 5th to 12th.
