TV channels are required to broadcast emergency notifications from the Ministry of Emergency Situations for free.

The changes made to the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution concern the work of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and are aimed at improving the system for informing citizens about threats and emergencies.

Now, the crisis management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has the right to require all telecommunications services and broadcasting channels, regardless of their ownership, to provide free broadcasting of emergency notifications in the event of threats or emergencies.

This decision is based on the provisions of the Sanitary Code and the constitutional law on the government.

The new rules will come into effect ten days after publication.
