At the meeting held between the Minister of Science, Higher Education, and Innovations Gulzat Isamatova and the administration of KRSU, plans were discussed to significantly reduce the number of academic programs at the university.

KRSU Rector Sergey Volkov reported that a reassessment of the strategic development of the university had been conducted. This plan encompasses a wide range of initiatives, including the construction of new facilities and dormitories, as well as the introduction of competitive funding for students and employment programs. There is also a focus on developing exchange programs and internships with countries such as Russia and China.

In the conversation, the ministers discussed issues related to funding, the scholarship system, and the optimization of academic programs. As part of the implementation of the new strategy, a phased reduction of the number of programs from 130 to 100 is planned, with an emphasis on training specialists who meet the requirements of the economy and labor market.
