A deputy proposed to set limits on the cost of education
At a recent meeting of the parliamentary committee dealing with finance, budget, and entrepreneurship development, Deputy Kamila Talieva raised the issue of the need to review the prices for contract education in universities.
She noted that over the past two years, the cost of education has significantly increased, and parents of students have been turning to deputies with complaints about this.
“Some rectors set prices that are too high, while they themselves relax abroad, using funds obtained from students. We have already discussed the issue of fines, but they remain unchanged,” she added.
According to the data from the State Agency for Antimonopoly Regulation, after the removal of state control, the price of education in universities has indeed increased, with some institutions doubling their fees.
