The main advantages of this initiative are as follows:
- Simplification and acceleration of migration registration, which will eliminate the need for repeated visits to service centers to obtain a PIN;
- Creation of a unified database, as the Unified System for External Migration (ЕСУВМ) automatically registers information obtained upon crossing the border;
- Increased accuracy and timeliness of accounting, as the PIN will be issued immediately after identification by border guards;
- Reduction of the burden on public service centers;
- Compliance with the requirements for the digitalization of public services.
It is also worth noting that the first digit of the 14-digit PIN for foreigners and stateless persons is the number 4.
