Now it will be possible to correct errors in the PIN without regard to when they occurred.
A new draft law is being discussed in the Jogorku Kenesh, which will amend the legislation on the personalized accounting of citizens. This initiative aims to simplify the process of changing the personal identification number (PIN) in cases of technical errors.
According to the amendments, the possibility of changing the PIN will be available not only for errors that occurred before July 1, 2017, but also for later cases. This includes incorrect data regarding gender, date of birth, last name, first name, and patronymic, as well as situations where one person is registered with multiple PINs.
The proposed draft law will eliminate inconsistencies in the current legislation and align it with the procedure that will be approved by the Cabinet of Ministers in 2025. This innovation will help citizens correct errors in government registries more quickly and avoid difficulties when obtaining various documents and social services.
