The draft law proposes to add Article 234 to the code, which will provide for fines for the use of coal with a fraction of 0-13 millimeters in the specified regions. Supplies intended for heating companies will be exempt from this rule.
In case of violations, the following fines are proposed:
- for individuals — 7,500 soms;
- for legal entities — 23,000 soms.
The authors of the initiative emphasize that these changes are aimed at regulating the coal market, as well as improving air quality and reducing the negative impact on the environment in Bishkek and its surroundings.
