The problem affects thousands of Kyrgyz citizens
At the parliamentary meeting on January 29, deputy Elvira Surabaldiyeva presented an initiative to introduce an amnesty for fines on cars purchased by proxy.
According to the parliamentarian, this issue concerns many citizens and has not been resolved to date.
Surabaldiyeva noted: "We are receiving more and more appeals from citizens who cannot find the previous owners of their cars. As a result, the cars are seized and taken to impound lots, where owners have to pay 100-150 soms per day. The cars can remain there for years, while the previous owners refuse to pay the fines," she added.
