As previously reported by local authorities, the completion of the new facility is scheduled for 2026.
The construction will take place on Kyiv Street, directly behind the mayor's office building. Currently, design and planning work is underway.
The vice-mayor Azamat Kadyrov noted that the project was developed back in 2020, but the main construction work will only begin after the design solutions are finalized.
A fence and metal structures have already been installed at the construction site. According to information, the workers engaged in the project are mainly foreigners. At the time of publication, no official comments had been received from the contractors.
The closure of the parking lot previously raised concerns among the city council deputies, as there are few alternative parking spaces available in the vicinity.
