The first wind power plant in Kyrgyzstan has successfully begun supplying electricity to the grid. This was announced by the chairwoman of the Association of Green Power Stations of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kundus Kyrbasheva, on her social media.

She noted that this step represents a transition from theory to practice and marks a new stage in the development of wind energy in the country.

Kyrbasheva emphasized that the project was implemented by the Kyrgyz company Metrum TEC, which is particularly important for the country.

It should be noted that in 2025, the first wind generator with a capacity of 100 megawatts was installed at Issyk-Kul.
