The Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services, Nurdana Oruntaev, reported at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh that the number of emergency social facilities has significantly decreased over the past four years.

He mentioned that the department conducts annual monitoring of the condition of such buildings in the country, responding to questions from parliament members.

“Over the past four years, more than 300 emergency facilities have been recorded, which will be replaced with new ones. According to last year's data, their number has significantly reduced. Currently, there are about 100 emergency schools in the country. We plan to close all emergency facilities this year or next,” the minister noted.

In addition, Deputy Prime Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev added that there are currently 113 schools in emergency condition in Kyrgyzstan, and this issue is a priority for the government when allocating funds for the construction of new institutions.
