The company SpaceX, founded by Elon Musk, has officially launched its Starlink satellite internet service in Tajikistan. This high-speed internet network, providing low signal latency, will enable connectivity even in the most remote and hard-to-reach mountainous areas of the country. Musk announced this in his post on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

According to Elon Musk, the launch became possible thanks to a licensing agreement signed between the government of Tajikistan and SpaceX at the end of 2025. The main goal of this partnership is to digitalize the hard-to-reach regions of the country.

Tajikistan has become the second country in Central Asia to gain access to Starlink technologies. The first such country was Kazakhstan, where this network began operating in August 2025, providing internet services to homes and social institutions in remote rural areas.

Uzbekistan will be the next country in the region where the launch of Starlink is expected. The network is anticipated to enter the Uzbek market in 2026. The government of Uzbekistan has already completed the necessary regulatory and tax documentation, establishing rules for the use of terminals and providing corresponding tax incentives.
