The Tourism Development Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic has recovered 56.1 million soms in accounts receivable.

At the meeting of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, attended by Deputy Prime Minister Bakyt Torobaev, a report from the Tourism Development Support Fund for 2025 was presented.

According to the head of the fund, Adilet Januzakov, the new team conducted a thorough assessment of the agency's work, focusing on improving financial discipline, optimizing expenses, and allocating funds to key areas.

“Thanks to enhanced financial control, we managed to recover 56.1 million soms in accounts receivable, including the full repayment of loans for projects in Naryn and the village of Tosor. We optimized operational expenses on IT, communication, and related services, which allowed us to create a more transparent and sustainable resource management model,” Januzakov noted.

The collected funds will be directed towards the implementation of priority infrastructure projects.

As of today, out of 18 Rest Point network facilities, 11 are operational, while the others are in the final stages of construction. Additionally, the fund attracted over $4.5 million in World Bank grants for the construction of three new facilities in the Osh region, Januzakov added.

He also spoke about the fund's subsidiary — GoBus, which provides regular passenger transportation and acts as a logistics partner for major tourism and promotional events. Currently, preparations are underway to implement an electronic ticketing system for intercity transportation.

At the same time, the fund is working on nationally significant projects aimed at attracting investments and creating long-term economic effects. Negotiations are actively ongoing with potential investors for the international sports complex “Tamga-Tosor,” with total investments exceeding $100 million. The development of the Baytik Mountain Resort and Chatkal Mountain Resort projects is also ongoing.
