In Kyrgyzstan, as part of the Rest Point project, it was initially planned to build 58 modern sanitary points located along tourist routes. However, as Damir Jumakanov, a representative of the Tourism Development Fund, reported, alternative options are currently being considered due to problems that have arisen with the implementation of the project.

According to him, ensuring comfortable sanitary conditions is one of the main tasks for the development of tourist infrastructure. This year, 10 Rest Points have already been opened, but many popular locations still lack modern toilets, which causes dissatisfaction among foreign tourists.

“In some regions, the toilets look like two boards with a roof. This can become a real problem for tourists, especially for families with children coming from Arab countries,” noted Jumakanov.

The Fund continues to collaborate with international partners. The World Bank supports the construction of five tourist information centers on Issyk-Kul, and three sanitary points are being built in the south of the country with the help of ARIS.

One of the Rest Points, located at the "Manas Ordo" complex, will be opened after the reconstruction is completed.
