
An extended meeting was held in Bishkek, organized by Deputy Mayor Ramiz Aliyev, where plans for improving and updating the city's public toilet network were discussed.
As part of this project, 26 potential locations were selected for the installation of new sanitary facilities, which will be located in four districts of the capital:
- Shopokova St., near "Ulitka";
- Madina Market, 7 April – Mambetov St., under the bridge;
- Jibek Jolu Ave. – Almatinka, "Alamedin" market;
- Ulan microdistrict: 7 April – Akhunbaev;
- Intersection of Ankara St. – Vinogradnaya, Ethno-square;
- 6th microdistrict, Walnut Grove;
- Unnamed St. – J. Pudovkin;
- Abdrahmanov St. – Samanchin;
- Abdrahmanov St. – Mederov;
- Akhunbaev St. – Manas, "Spar" store;
- Chokmorov St. – Shevchenko (near DUMI and BGA);
- Intersection of Altymyshev St. – Tynibekov (near "Lux" square);
- Sadybaev St., "Sakalduu Gül" park;
- Jail Batyra St. – Chortekov, boulevard to the 4th city hospital;
- Chortekov St. – Ayni, square next to the 4th city hospital;
- Ayni St. – Osmonov, new square;
- Murmansk St. – Abakan St., new square under construction (UKS);
- Intersection of Bakaev St. – Ayni, Ostrovsky St.;
- Toktogul St. – Erkindik;
- Togolok Mold St. square;
- "Rossiya" cinema;
- National Hospital;
- "Ala-Too" cinema;
- Gorky St. – Tynystanova, "Vefa" shopping center;
- Abdrahmanov St. – Kievskaya;
- Trade Union St. – P. Lumumba.
When selecting locations for the new toilets, the results of the analysis of pedestrian and tourist flows, as well as the opinions of local residents, were taken into account.
Special attention will be paid to the accessibility of the new facilities for people with disabilities — all toilets will be designed in accordance with inclusive standards and principles of barrier-free environments.
