During an extended meeting held at the Bishkek city hall under the leadership of Deputy Mayor Ramiz Aliev, plans for the development of a public toilet network in the city were discussed.
During the discussion, 26 potential locations for the installation of new sanitary facilities were identified in four districts of the capital. The selection of locations took into account data on pedestrian, tourist, and transport flows, as well as survey results from local residents.
The new public toilets are planned to be located at the following addresses:
— Shopokova St., near "Ulitka";
— Madina Market, 7 April – Mambetov St., under the bridge;
— Jibek Jolu Ave – Almatinka, "Alamedin" Market;
— Ulan microdistrict: 7 April – Akhunbaev St.;
— Ankara St. – Vinogradnaya St., Ethno-Square;
— 6th microdistrict, Walnut Grove;
— Bezymyannaya St. – Zh. Pudovkin St.;
— Abdrakhmanov St. – Samanchin St.;
— Abdrakhmanov St. – Mederov St.;
— Akhunbaev St. – Manas, "Spar" store;
— Chokmorov St. – Shevchenko St. (near DUMI and BGA);
— Altymyshev St. – Tynibekov St. (near "Lux" square);
— Sadyrbaev St., "Sakalduu Gül" park;
— Jaiyl Batyr St. – Chortekov St., boulevard to the 4th City Hospital;
— Chortekov St. – Ayni St., square next to the 4th City Hospital;
— Ayni St. – Osmonov St., new square;
— Murmansk St. – Abakan St., new square under construction (UKS);
— Bakayev St. – Ayni St., Ostrovsky St.;
— Toktogul St. – Erkindik;

An important aspect of the project is the creation of an inclusive urban environment. All new toilets will be designed with the needs of people with disabilities and accessibility principles in mind.
According to the city hall, the update of the public toilet network is part of a broader program aimed at creating a comfortable and safe urban infrastructure.
The city authorities also encourage residents to participate in the planning process and share their suggestions for additional locations for toilet installations.
