Kyrgyzstan is actively developing the concept of year-round tourism by creating new mountain tourist clusters. This was reported by Damir Jumakanov, head of the international cooperation and tourism development department of the OJSC "Tourism Development Support Fund in the KR," on the air of Birinchi Radio.

This year, the implementation of a significant project called "Three Peaks" began, aimed at modernizing the ski infrastructure.

“We strive for all our mountain tourism clusters to operate year-round. Previously, there were only winter and summer seasons, and now we want to change this practice so that tourism in Kyrgyzstan develops throughout the year,” noted Jumakanov.

As part of this project, the company "Ala-Too Resort" has already conducted tender procedures, and the construction of a hotel complex along with the necessary infrastructure will soon begin.

The first cable car is expected to be launched around 2028, with work being carried out in phases.

Additionally, Jumakanov mentioned other initiatives of the fund — Baytik Mountain Resort and Chatkal Resort, which are being developed with the concept of year-round recreation in mind.

“These projects will feature cafes, restaurants, ski trails, trekking and hiking routes, as well as ethnovillages that will serve as alternative accommodation options. Master plans for these projects have already been prepared, and work is currently underway with potential investors,” he added.

The Tourism Development Support Fund emphasizes that the creation of year-round tourist clusters will contribute to an increase in the number of tourists, diversify the types of recreation offered, and strengthen the tourism potential of Kyrgyzstan.
