According to the press service, the current statements and their interpretations are one-sided and aimed at undermining public trust in state institutions. GKNB employees operate under the guidance of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The national security bodies work in strict accordance with the Constitution and the laws of the country, adhering to the principles of legality, objectivity, and accountability to society. The main task of the GKNB remains ensuring the security of the state, protecting the constitutional order, the rights and freedoms of citizens, as well as combating terrorism, extremism, and corruption.
“We are confident that any questions and doubts should be resolved exclusively within the legal framework, based on facts and verified information. Attempts to undermine the reputation of state structures without evidence harm not only a specific agency but also the overall trust in society,” the statement emphasizes.
The agency called on the public, the media, and high-ranking officials to refrain from harsh criticism of GKNB employees who diligently and responsibly carry out their duties. The work to ensure the country's security will continue consistently and principled, in the interests of the people and the state,” the agency added.
