In light of the recent resignation of the chairman of the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, there have been attempts by certain interested groups to undermine the reputation of the country's national security agencies in the information space. This was reported in the official statement of the agency.
The State National Security Committee emphasized that the interpretations and statements being disseminated are one-sided and aimed at reducing the level of public trust in state institutions.
The agency noted: "Employees of the national security agencies are subordinate to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Kyrgyz Republic."Furthermore, the State National Security Committee clarified that their activities are carried out in full accordance with the Constitution and legislation of the country, based on the principles of legality, objectivity, and accountability to society. The main task of the agency is to ensure the security of the state, protect the rights and freedoms of citizens, as well as counter terrorism, extremism, corruption, and other threats.
The State National Security Committee also added: "We are confident that any questions and doubts should be addressed exclusively within the legal framework, based on factual and reliable information. Attempts to tarnish the reputation of state structures without appropriate evidence harm not only the specific agency but also the overall level of trust in society."The agency called on members of society, the media, and high-ranking officials to refrain from harsh criticism of the employees of the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, as they perform their duties with high responsibility and integrity.
