In Kyrgyzstan, a draft law is currently being considered that proposes the possibility of allocating land within the territory of the president's residence. This initiative was presented at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh by Jakhshylyk Toktosunov, Deputy Director of the State Agency for Land Resources, Cadastre, Geodesy, and Cartography.

The initiative arose in response to a request from the residents of the village of Chon-Aryk to the president of the country. "Local residents expressed concern about the lack of educational institutions in their village. Due to the shortage of available land, the president instructed to allocate a plot of 10.48 hectares, which is currently owned by the presidential residence," Toktosunov reported.

However, according to current legislation, the allocation of land in this area is prohibited, which has led to the proposed changes in the law.

"Land allocation can be carried out by decision of the cabinet of ministers if it is aimed at meeting the social needs of the population. The specified plot will be transferred to local self-government bodies, and it is planned to build a school, medical, and sports facilities on it," he added.

Some deputies expressed support for the draft law, noting the importance of constructing social facilities that will remain state-owned.
