Gas lines and 'red books' of the residents are hindering the Bishkek city hall from opening Bakayev Street

The municipality is actively seeking solutions to these issues

Abdyjapar Kul Zhanbolotov, Deputy Director of the Department of Transport and Road Transport Infrastructure Development, reported on "Birinchi Radio" that work on opening Bakayev Street will continue in 2026.

He noted that difficulties arose due to the need to relocate two gas lines, as well as due to the construction of sewage and the presence of "red books" among some local residents.

According to Zhanbolotov, work is being done with citizens: "We are conducting explanatory activities. Some claim that this section has no value. But we plan to continue it and connect it to Beishenaliev Street," the official assured.
