The national championship in sambo, both sports and combat, has kicked off in Bishkek. The event is taking place at the Kaba Uulu Kozhomkul Sports Palace and has gathered over 320 participants from all corners of the country.
The opening ceremony was marked by the presence of the Deputy Director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, Buzurman Bagyshbekov, as well as other representatives from federations and coaches.
The first day of the competition is dedicated to wrestling in the weight categories of 58, 71, 88, and 98 kg.
The championship will last until February 19, and upon its conclusion, a team will be formed to participate in international competitions.
