At today's meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, held on February 19, the deputies discussed the issue of electing a new chairperson for the committee on international affairs, defense, security, and migration.

The candidacy of Elvira Surabaldiyeva, proposed by the deputy groups "Adilet Kyrgyzstan" and "Eldik," was supported by her colleagues.

As a result of the voting, Elvira Surabaldiyeva was elected to the position of chairperson of the specified committee, which was recorded in the corresponding resolution of the Jogorku Kenesh.

It should be noted that the committee was previously headed by Eldar Sulaymanov, who resigned from his deputy powers on February 17.
