
The total value of the illegal goods amounted to over 1.1 million soms
As a result of a joint raid by the State Tax Service and representatives of the Internal Affairs Department, a significant batch of tobacco products without excise stamps was discovered at the market in Manas. This was reported by the press service of the State Tax Service.
During the inspection, 9,695 packs of cigarettes were seized, with a value of 1,163,400 soms. In addition, 24 packs of illegal electronic cigarettes and 33 units of substances similar to snus were found.
All seized products were confiscated in accordance with established procedures, and the collected materials were transferred to law enforcement agencies for further investigation.
Representatives of the Tax Service reminded that a fine of 100,000 soms is imposed for the sale of up to 200 units of excise goods without excise stamps, while criminal liability, up to 7 years of imprisonment, is provided for the sale of more than 200 units.
