In particular, a year ago, President Sadyr Japarov signed a bill to suspend the action of the Law "On Jurors in the Courts of the Kyrgyz Republic" and certain provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code.
The document specifies that to ensure the effective functioning of the jury system, as well as to create the necessary conditions, including funding and the development of the relevant infrastructure, the law on jurors in the Kyrgyz Republic and Chapter 45 of the Criminal Procedure Code is suspended until January 1, 2035.
