During the meeting held on February 12, 2026, at the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic, issues of cooperation with representatives of leading higher educational institutions of the country were discussed. The court's press service reported that the meeting was attended by rectors and vice-rectors, as well as key figures from the judicial system.

The Chairman of the Supreme Court, Mederbek Satyiev, his deputy Nurgul Bakirova, and other high-ranking officials, including the head of the apparatus Sulayman Mykiyev and advisor Ruslan Myrzalimov, actively discussed with the participants important aspects of integrating practical experience into student education.

The meeting served as a platform to discuss current issues regarding student training, conducting joint events, and exchanging experiences between universities and the judicial system.

It was noted that the modern judicial system needs a diversity of specialists, including experts in cybersecurity, financial control, and public relations, which goes beyond traditional legal training.

To this end, representatives from universities that do not train lawyers but prepare specialists in other in-demand fields necessary for the functioning of the judicial system were invited to the meeting.

Among the participants were representatives from institutions such as the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, Ala-Too International University, Osh State University, and many other educational institutions.

Mederbek Satyiev emphasized the need to develop practical skills in students, which can be acquired not only in classrooms but also in real judicial conditions. He highlighted that strategic cooperation with universities is a key aspect for the sustainable development of the country's legal system.

During the discussion, the main areas of cooperation were outlined:

First, it is planned to organize internships for students in courts with mentorship from experienced judges, allowing them to participate in real judicial processes.

Second, joint scientific events, such as conferences and round tables, will facilitate the exchange of opinions between the academic community and judges, allowing for the analysis of judicial practice and the development of new approaches.

There will also be an exchange of methodological materials to update the educational programs of universities, enabling scholars to focus on the needs of the national judicial system.

Additionally, programs for advanced training of teachers will be implemented to integrate practical skills into legal education.

Mederbek Satyiev expressed hope for active participation from universities in creating long-term cooperation based on mutual responsibility and concrete results.

The heads of educational institutions thanked the Chairman of the Supreme Court for the opportunity to discuss the most important issues of interaction between the judicial system and universities.

The participants agreed that creating a cooperation system between the judicial system and universities would significantly improve the quality of legal training and the legal culture in society.

Furthermore, the idea was proposed to hold a scientific-practical conference dedicated to the Constitution Day of the Kyrgyz Republic, with the participation of representatives from the judicial system and the scientific community.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed on further development of cooperation and ongoing information exchange to strengthen professional knowledge within the judicial system.

At the conclusion of the event, the Supreme Court signed cooperation agreements with leading universities, which will be a significant step towards improving the quality of justice in the country.

This cooperation will contribute to the training of highly qualified specialists, positively impacting judicial practice and the legal system of the Kyrgyz Republic.

At the end of the event, all participants received commemorative gifts from the Supreme Court.
