The Ministry of Culture will hold a competition for the best project
The initiative to install a copy of the 11th-century world map created by Mahmud Kashgari-Barskani was presented by State Secretary Arslan Koichiev. This was reported by the press service of the President's Administration.
On this map, which was created during the Islamic Renaissance in Central Asia, Issyk-Kul is marked as the center of the world.
The project will be part of the celebration of the 1000th anniversary of Mahmud Kashgari-Barskani and will be implemented in Bishkek.
The Ministry of Culture, according to the directive, will conduct a competition to select the best project.
