The winners of the 2026 Berlinale International Film Festival have been announced. The film "Yellow Letters," created by German director of Turkish descent Ilker Catak, received the top prize — the "Golden Bear".

The Grand Jury Prize was awarded to the film "Rescue" by Turkish director Emin Alper. The jury also gave a special mention to the film "Queen of the Sea," directed by American Lance Hammer.

The Silver Bear for Best Leading Role was awarded to German actress Sandra Hüller for her performance in the film "Rose" by Austrian director Markus Schleinzner. In the category for Best Supporting Role, the award went to Anna Calder-Marshall and Tom Courtenay for their performances in "Queen of the Sea".

Best Director was British Grant Gee, who received the "Silver Bear" for his work on the film "Everyone Loves Bill Evans". The award for Best Screenplay was given to Geneviève Duluard-Dessel for the film "Nina Rose".

In the category for Outstanding Creative Contribution, the "Silver Bear" was awarded to directors Anna Fitch and Bankir White for the documentary "Love is a Rebel Bird".

It is worth noting that 22 films were included in the main program of the 76th Berlin Film Festival.
