The opening of the updated bridge on J. Shamsiyev Street took place in the city of Osh, under the guidance of Mayor Jenishbek Toktorbaev after the completion of major repairs.
According to the city administration, this event gathered not only local authorities but also residents of the region.
The bridge is 9 meters long and 21 meters wide. Sidewalks have been created on both sides for the convenience of pedestrians, and green zones have been provided, along with irrigation ditches and water supply pipes. Previously, the reconstruction of J. Shamsiyev Street was also carried out, which was 600 meters long and was widened to 22 meters, becoming a four-lane road.
This bridge is an important transport artery connecting residents with the Osh Regional Hospital and the entrance to the city. The traffic intensity here is high, and repairs had not been conducted until now. According to the mayor, during an inspection, he instructed to expand the road and asphalt it. Several structures that hindered the work were demolished for the implementation of the project. Now residents can use the new, convenient, and modern road, the press service of the mayor's office reports.
All expenses for the repair work on J. Shamsiyev Street were fully covered by the local budget.
