In Osh, on Kurmanjan-Datka Street, a new park named "Sairan" has opened.

High-ranking members of the city administration, city council deputies, and local residents attended the opening ceremony.

The park includes a summer stage, recreational areas with gazebos and benches, as well as a children's playground. Pedestrian paths have been constructed, landscaping work has been carried out, night lighting systems have been installed, and a decorative arch has been erected. Additionally, a police post and sanitary facilities are provided.
Previously, this site housed the "Eki Dos" café and other commercial establishments. All structures that hindered the proper use of the area along the canal were demolished, and the waterfront area is now completely open. Thus, the disordered construction was eliminated, and this place has now been transformed into a full-fledged public space.

Turmush previously reported that the area where the "Eki Dos" café and other establishments were located has been completely cleared of buildings.

Dastan Murzaliev, head of the urban planning and municipal property department of the city of Osh, stated that all buildings were demolished, leaving only ruins. The owner of the buildings is four individuals. "Three buildings belonged to [Aidar] Bakiev, and the others to three more people. All of them were demolished," he added.

In this location on Kurmanjan-Datka Street, there were previously grocery stores, flower shops, cafés, a pharmacy, and ice cream kiosks. The "Eki Dos" café operated for many years right next to the Kayirma canal.

The demolition of the café and adjacent commercial points began on August 27.

According to local authorities, this area, which was initially designated as a "green zone," will be re-landscaped and transformed into a park. Initially, it was planned to preserve the "Eki Dos" café to support the architectural appearance of the city, but after public discussion, it was decided to demolish it.

The "Eki Dos" café previously attracted the attention of citizens, as the channel bed of Kayirma was altered for its construction. It is reported that the establishment belongs to Aidar Bakiev, who previously worked as an advisor to the former mayor of Osh, Almaz Mambetov.

Bakiev, the café owner, claimed that his plot is not located in a water protection zone and that he has all the necessary documents. He also sent a letter to Mayor Jenishbek Toktorbaev.

Earlier, the municipal management "Sulaiman-Too" reported that the café was not subject to demolition despite warnings and cautioned about possible measures if the requirements were not met.

According to the legislation, the water protection zone of canals ranges from 6 to 50 meters on each side. For example, the water protection zone of the Moyun, Zhany-Aryk, and Zhoo-Bas canals is 6 meters, while that of the Ak-Buura River is 50 meters. The water protection strip of the Kayirma canal is 20 meters on both sides.
