In Bishkek, work has begun on the dismantling of metal structures located near the Central Department Store (TSUM). The city's mayor, Aibek Junushaliev, is present at the site.

According to information from the press service of the mayor's office, today marks the start of the first phase of the removal of structures built without an approved project.

Previously, construction work at the TSUM "Aichurek" site was deemed non-compliant with the approved project solutions. Based on this, the city mayor issued an order for the dismantling of the metal structures.

During the inspection, it was revealed that the project being carried out by the developer does not correspond to the agreed sketch and was not discussed at the meetings of the urban planning council. The work was performed with deviations from the approved standards, which violates urban planning regulations.

Particular attention was paid to the fountain area, which was previously located on this territory. TSUM representatives stated their intention to preserve the architectural appearance of the space and restore the fountains after the construction work is completed. However, the actual construction on the site of the fountains raises doubts about the seriousness of these commitments. The restoration of the fountain composition has been designated as a necessary condition for bringing the area into order.

The mayor has given the developer three days for the independent dismantling of the structures.
