In 2025, only 48 people were able to receive treatment
Deputy Gula Kozhokulova reported a reduction in quotas for medical treatment for citizens of Kyrgyzstan in Turkey at a meeting of the committee on international affairs, defense, and migration.
During the discussion, information was presented about the work of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Turkey for the period of 2024-2025, which was voiced by Ruslan Kazakbaev, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey.
Kozhokulova raised the important issue of the need to increase quotas for free treatment for Kyrgyz citizens in medical institutions in Turkey, referring to the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Health and Medical Sciences between the two states.
The parliamentarian noted that the number of medical quotas provided is decreasing.
"In 2021, 30 citizens received treatment in Turkish medical institutions, in 2024 their number increased to 86, but in 2025 only 48 people are expected," she emphasized, calling for more active actions from the diplomatic agency on this issue.
