GKNB: Our employees do not have nicknames, do not spread unverified information

The security service emphasized the deliberate distortion of facts about its committee

The State National Security Committee (GKNB) denied information regarding the existence of nicknames for its employees. The press center of the agency issued an official statement on this matter.

"In connection with the emergence of video recordings and publications in the media about allegedly existing unofficial nicknames of GKNB employees, we inform the following:

In our work, only official service titles and positions provided for by law are used. Claims about nicknames and informal designations have no basis and do not pertain to the staffing practices of the committee. These designations arise outside of official activities and do not reflect the agency's viewpoint."

According to available information, a fabricated video with fictional nicknames and distorted information has been circulated in the media space. These materials are being disseminated by interested parties with the aim of forming a false opinion about the activities of the GKNB of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The committee strictly adheres to the law, follows the principles of service discipline and professional ethics. We urge journalists and social media users to rely on official sources and refrain from spreading unverified information that may harm the reputation of government agencies," the GKNB emphasizes.
