The State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic emphasizes that when making payments in public catering establishments, fiscal receipts issued by cash register machines (KKM) must be provided. This was reported by the press service of the STS.

Unfortunately, instead of official fiscal receipts, many establishments issue so-called "pre-checks." These are documents listing the ordered dishes, created in accounting software or even screenshots with order information. Such papers are not fiscal receipts, do not confirm the fact of payment, and are not recorded in the tax system. The STS indicates that such practices contribute to concealing actual revenue and evading tax payments.

It should be reminded that when processing payments, waiters and cashiers are required to:

- announce the order amount;

- clarify the payment method;

- provide the customer with a fiscal receipt from the KKM in paper form.

Public catering establishments participating in the pilot project for the implementation of fiscal software are required to use this software and ensure online data transmission. Those establishments that do not participate in the project must use registered cash register machines. Thus, depending on the type of operation, either fiscal software with online transmission or traditional KKM is used.

A fiscal receipt is the only document that confirms the registration of payment in the tax system, ensures tax revenue to the budget, and protects consumer rights.

The tax service urges citizens to insist on receiving fiscal receipts when making payments in cafes and restaurants to minimize risks and ensure transparency in financial transactions.
