The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic reports a growing interest in eco-friendly fertilizer made from sheep wool.

The most notable example is the individual entrepreneur Kunduz, who has been processing sheep wool and producing environmentally compliant fertilizers for farmers since 2025. The Department of Processing and Organic Agriculture of the Ministry has already familiarized itself with his production processes.

This fertilizer not only enhances soil fertility but also helps retain moisture and positively impacts plant growth. It is particularly actively used by farms focused on organic farming.

In 2026, there has been a significant increase in demand for the product, leading to a rise in orders. Currently, Kunduz is working on expanding production capacity.

This initiative helps effectively utilize livestock waste and promotes the adoption of sustainable and eco-friendly methods in agriculture.
