According to the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution No. 131 dated February 23, the creation of the company is aimed at implementing modern space technologies. This will allow for the acquisition of aerospace images that will be used for optimal management of land resources, environmental monitoring, tracking climate changes, searching for critically important minerals, and preventing emergencies.
The founder and sole shareholder of the JSC "Kyrgyz Satellite" is the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry on behalf of the Cabinet.The office of "Kyrgyz Satellite" will be located in Karakol, Issyk-Kul region, based on a gratuitous use agreement, with provisions for the payment of utility and operational expenses. The city administration has been instructed to allocate a land plot for the construction and placement of the new facility.
This resolution will come into effect fifteen days after its official publication.
