In 2025, 60 thousand enforcement orders for alimony cases were registered.
At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, it was announced that 1200 citizens in Kyrgyzstan evade alimony payments.
In this context, deputies are discussing a draft law that proposes amendments to several legislative acts, including the Criminal Code, the Criminal Procedure Code, and the Criminal Enforcement Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Deputy Mahabat Mavlyanova raised the issue of the problems women face when demanding alimony. She noted that in such situations, men may resort to intimidation and even violence.
She also asked Deputy Attorney General Umutkan Konkubaeva whether it is possible to resolve alimony issues simultaneously with divorce.
The Deputy Attorney General explained that previously, deputies changed the legislation, transferring the authority to issue alimony orders from the court to notarial bodies.
"Previously, the court could automatically issue judicial orders for alimony collection. However, even after such an order, the father could contest the amount, and the court was obliged to cancel its decision," she added.
Konkubaeva emphasized that in cases where a dispute arises, a full judicial investigation is necessary.
Deputy Yrysbek Atazhanov inquired how many citizens in the country do not make alimony payments.
Umutkan Konkubaeva responded that in 2025, 60 thousand enforcement orders were registered, of which 1200 citizens evade alimony payments.
