50% of mortgage apartments in Kyrgyzstan will be provided through shared construction
The head of the sales department of the State Mortgage Company (GIK) Kylchbek Keldibekov reported that about half of all new mortgage apartments that will be put into operation will be provided through the mechanism of shared construction. He emphasized that the opinion that the transfer of one thousand apartments automatically speeds up the queue by a thousand people is erroneous.
"Citizens without their own housing can receive an apartment without queuing if they pay 50% of its cost. The funds received from them are used to finance construction works, which allows us to accelerate the process of building houses and provide citizens with housing," he added.
Keldibekov also pointed out the existence of three additional directions, besides shared construction:
- "Preferential mortgage" (for public sector employees),
- "Affordable mortgage" (for private sector employees),
- "Social mortgage" (for socially vulnerable groups of the population).
According to him, if 500 out of one thousand apartments are provided through shared construction, the remaining 500 are distributed among the specified directions.
"Due to insufficient funding from the state, this mechanism was developed. We aim to provide 50% of apartments through shared construction," noted the GIK representative.
He added that thanks to this mechanism, the construction of mortgage houses is actively continuing in the country.
