The competition gathered over 200 participants
On March 1, the official opening of the Sumo City Cup took place at the Specialized Children and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve named after Ratbek Sanatbaev, featuring both junior and adult competitors. This was reported by representatives of the city administration.
More than 200 athletes from Bishkek, Chui Region, Sokuluk District, Issyk-Kul Region, as well as students from the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn are participating in the tournament.
The competition is held in three age categories: for participants under 12 years old, juniors under 18 years old, and adults over 18 years old.
Additionally, girls as young as 5 years old also competed in the tournament.
