
The filming of a full-length documentary titled “Issyk-Kul — the fragile pearl of Kyrgyzstan” has begun in Kyrgyzstan. This was announced in a press release by the Union of Cinematographers, published by 24.kg.
According to information from the Union, the film will focus on the ecological challenges and issues related to the preservation of the unique lake. The director is the People's Artist of Kyrgyzstan, Tynai Ibragimov, and the team includes operators Ernes Mamytov and Nurdana Karybekov.


The film crew has already visited cities such as Balykchy, Cholpon-Ata, and Karakol, where they documented significant infrastructure transformations, as well as the construction of wastewater treatment facilities and the development of tourist sites.
The film will also showcase the work of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the tourist-ecological police in combating poaching.
The project is being carried out at the “Kyrgyztelefilm” studio as part of a presidential decree regarding urgent measures for the protection of the ecology of Issyk-Kul Lake.
