Kyrgyzstan joined the international project "Green Cities"

The international project "Green Cities" has begun in the Fergana Valley, involving Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. This was reported by the German Embassy in Bishkek.

As part of this program, work is planned in the cities of Osh and Manas in Kyrgyzstan.

The goal of the initiative is to reduce environmental risks and improve the quality of life for urban populations.

Project team specialists will be engaged in developing master plans for greening and modernizing infrastructure, as well as training local specialists. In addition, the project will promote the exchange of experience between countries in the field of sustainable urban development.

Funding is provided by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ), and the project is coordinated by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ). In Kyrgyzstan, the main partner is the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision.
