The northern part of the route was updated in 2025. On the southern side, utilities will be replaced first, after which the roadway will be widened and new asphalt will be laid. The total length of the road exceeds 4 km, so the work will be carried out in stages. So far, the repairs have not caused significant traffic jams on the section from Intergelpo Street to Kustanai Street.
The city administration plans to construct and reconstruct over 119 km of roads in the capital. Municipal authorities assure that they will do everything possible to minimize traffic jams caused by the repairs.
According to Ulanbek Beishenbaev, the director of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development, "we will try to close major highways and central streets during holiday periods when traffic significantly decreases."
