The Ministry of Science, Higher Education, and Innovations has initiated a public discussion on the draft order concerning the selection process for promising technologies and developments.

This document was created as part of the National Development Program of Kyrgyzstan until 2030, which was approved by a presidential decree. Its goal is to establish a regulatory framework to support innovative initiatives and the operation of the innovation center within the ministry.

As stated in the draft, the selection of promising technological projects will be conducted through a competitive process. All applications will undergo expert evaluation, where specialists will assess the readiness level of the technologies, their innovativeness, practical applicability, scalability potential, and expected socio-economic impact.

To form the evaluation committee, experts from various fields, including science, technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation, are planned to be involved.

The ministry emphasizes that the introduction of the new procedure will help identify and support projects with high scientific, technical, and commercial potential, as well as promote prototyping and accelerate the implementation of scientific developments into the country's economy.

Additionally, an increase in patent activity among research institutions and universities is expected, along with attracting private investments and stimulating the development of technological entrepreneurship.

For the competitive selection of projects, the ministry's republican budget provides funding of up to 2 million soms.
