Up to 5 million soms will be allocated to women in Kyrgyzstan by the Swiss project 'Araket'
The Swiss project "Araket" will allocate up to 5 million soms to support women in Kyrgyzstan. This decision came as a result of a business idea competition held in Bishkek and Osh, as reported by the Swiss Embassy.

During the competitive pitching sessions, participants were selected to receive small grants to start or expand their businesses.

As a result, 11 women became winners in Bishkek and another five in Osh. Each of them will receive grant assistance, which will consist of the necessary equipment for implementing or scaling their projects.

The amount of grant support for each participant ranges from 200,000 to 350,000 soms. Within this project cycle, 16 business initiatives will be able to receive such support.

The "Araket" project aims to improve life in the new buildings of Kyrgyzstan and is implemented by GFA Consulting Group GmbH with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Swiss Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic.
