The presentation dedicated to the results of the media campaign "Women's Leadership That Changed an Era - 100 Years" took place in Bishkek, timed to the centenary of the women's movement in Kyrgyzstan. As part of the event, a new website "100 Outstanding Women of Kyrgyzstan" was launched, featuring stories of women who made significant contributions to the development of the country.

According to the organizers, the goal of the campaign is to bring back to public and historical memory the names of Kyrgyz women whose achievements in statehood, education, culture, and social sphere have long remained overlooked. Over the past year, the project team has collected, documented, and translated 126 stories of women from different eras, as well as digitized family archives. These materials have been shared on social platforms and in collaboration with other media.

On the website, the stories are organized by regions and by the years of their active involvement, and there are search and filtering functions available. The platform is open for new suggestions: anyone can propose a new heroine by sending a description and archival materials through a special form.

The program of the event included an official opening with the participation of deputies of the new convocation of the Jogorku Kenesh, representatives of government structures, and international partners, an interactive quiz on the history of the women's movement, and live communication with the organizers, researchers, and project heroines.

The Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Security, and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ainura Orozbaeva, speaking at the event, noted that support for women's leadership is part of state policy, enshrined in the presidential decree and the program until 2030. She emphasized that the development of women's leadership is a key element for achieving sustainable development and social justice.

The organizers emphasized that the work on the project was not only research-oriented but also became an important public initiative aimed at recognizing and preserving the contributions of women for future generations.

The event was organized by the Alliance of Women's Legislative Initiatives with the support of the GFA Consulting Group project "Civic Participation for Development," funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
