Delegates of the People's Kurultai in Bishkek surprised no less than the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh

The issues raised for discussion were marked by both sharpness and ambiguity.

The IV People's Kurultai has concluded in Bishkek, with President Sadyr Japarov participating.

690 delegates from across the country attended the event, and 150 of them delivered speeches.

President Japarov listened to the opinions of all the delegates, summarized the year's results, and discussed the current state of Kyrgyzstan. He noted that the republic has entered a new stage of its economic development and strengthening of statehood.

Additionally, he participated in an online ceremony to launch 27 industrial and 67 social facilities across the country.

The participants of the kurultai discussed a wide range of issues related to the social sphere, the development of the processing industry, infrastructure, water supply systems, as well as support for agriculture and entrepreneurship. Many of the topics raised are of particular significance to society, including proposals to ban alcohol, introduce the death penalty for corrupt officials and pedophiles, prohibit men convicted of domestic violence from working in state and municipal bodies, and abolish the quota for women in the Jogorku Kenesh.

Special attention was given to projects aimed at developing villages and cities in the regions, as well as protecting the rights of migrants, including in the context of the elections to the parliament of Kyrgyzstan.

Sadyr Japarov answered the delegates' questions, commented on current topics, and outlined key directions for the country's development. The president noted that many of the issues discussed at the kurultai are already in the process of being addressed.

However, he also pointed out some unspoken concerns from the delegates, particularly regarding participation in elections.
